UK Copyright Law: IPO consultation

ACADI members are asked to pool their thoughts in response to the government’s current  consultation document on changes to copyright law. The consultation with the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) follows on from the recommendations in the Hargreaves report.

This is an opportunity for ACADI members to ask for an exception to allow the use of images in education.

The consultation is also looking at the costs associated with existing educational licence schemes and particularly welcomes data that helps to assess the costs and benefits of these proposals.

Katie and Matt will co-ordinate members’ responses. Please send your comments via the list as soon as possible, the closing date for responses is 21st March 2012.
