ACADI members met at the University of Reading in June for a rather hot but well attended summer meeting. While much of the discussion centred on the situation with DACS and the need for a slide scanning licence, other agenda items included a discussion on how the transition from slides to digital images is impacting on the role of image librarians, the problems of reducing or disposing of under-used slide collections, as well as an interesting report from three members who had attended the Visual Resource Association conference in Toronto earlier in the year. The minutes are now available in the members’ area of the blog, and we are looking forward to our next meeting in Bristol later in the autumn.
